7 weeks

I am getting so big now. I love playing on the floor especially on my tummy. I can hold my head up for quite a few seconds on my own and am smiling, talking and blowing bubbles all the time now for Mom and Dad. Each day gets better and better...now Mom is working on me sleeping more at night before she goes back to work this Friday. I still get up at least twice a night...I just love to eat!

My Babysitter

Torin and I went grocery shopping this past weekend and he was waking up in his car seat as I was bringing in the groceries. On my last trip to grab the milk out of the car, I came in to Torin fussing and Cooper sitting on the coffee table next to him extremely concerned that no one was picking up the baby.
Needless to say, he refused to get off the table until I picked T up out of the car seat. Here he is looking at me like "are you going to get this kid out or what? Do your job, Mom!" :)

Angie visits

Mommy's friend Angie came out to visit this weekend from Minneapolis to meet me for the first time. We had a blast hanging out together and she spoiled me rotten by holding me all the time. I took lots of naps in her arms and will miss that this week...thanks for coming out to see us!

Baby Bjorn

Daddy and Mommy have started putting me in the baby bjorn and I really like it. Daddy and I hung out together last night and watched Monday night football. I only made it to half time though before falling asleep.

Floor Time

I like to play on the floor with my gym set. Cooper actually leaves me alone too, but always walks around the mat making sure I'm okay.

6 Weeks

T has been growing like a weed. On Thursday (6 weeks) he weighed 10lbs 6 oz. He is interacting with Carrie and me much more now. He has also started babbling and grunting more. Now we just need him to understand 3am isn't the most fun time to have baby conversations! He has been sleeping at night for 5 hrs at a time here and there, and Carrie sure does appreciate the extra sleep those lucky nights.

This is a little talk we had a couple days ago about his mommy only letting him eat every 3 hours instead of every 2, like he really wants!!

5 weeks old!

Torin is 5 weeks old today. We had him in the clinic on Monday and he was 9 lbs even! He is growing up so fast. He has really started 'talking' now and loves having books read to him. I am sad that in three weeks I have to go back to work.

Thank You Uncle Greg!

Thanks Uncle Greg for the Adrian Peterson jersey and my first pair of Jordan's. I'm not sure who was more excited...me or Daddy. He can't wait until I'm big enough to start playing and watching sports with him.
The jersey is still a little big, but that won't stop Mom and Dad from having me wear it on game day.

My Favorite Thing

Bathtime is the best part of the day! I love hanging out in the tub splashing in the water.

Here's me and Daddy hanging out. He uses the blue toy and pours water over my tummy and it makes me smile!

How Cute Am I?

Buddies...and Cousins

Last night Anne, Josh, Paul, and I took the boys to Santiagos for dinner. We had to get some photos of the boys together, so here is Torin (4 weeks), Noah (3 years) and Ethan (4 months) smiling for camera. They are so adorable!

Doctor's Appointment

We had Torin in to the doctor again this morning...he has an ingrown toenail that has made his big toe very red, swollen, and sore. We have to soak it frequently over the next few days and put antibiotic ointment on it to hopefully draw it out. The worst case scenario is if it doesn't heal itself, they will have to pull the nail off. OUCH! It already is looking much better so we are hopeful it won't get to that point. Good news...he is now 8 pounds 6 ounces! He has gained a pound in the past week! He is right on track now the doctor said so as long as the toe heals, we don't have to go back to the doctor until his two month check up.

Labor Day Weekend Fun

With the Herding family out here, we had to do some sight seeing since this was Mike's first time in Colorado. We spent a day in Rocky Mountain National Park where Skyler got to feed lots of chipmunks and see deer, rams, and elk. He loved all the animals! You can see the chipmunk right next to Dad and they would come right up to Skyler and eat the seeds out of his hand.

We also toured the Budweiser Brewery and Skyler's favorite part was the horses of course! Dad, Mike and Paul had a good time sampling beer they never would have tried normally. Dad will be steering clear from blueberry beer from now on and Mike won't be drinking Stouts (or coffee beer as he puts it) any time soon.

Grandpa and Grandma Herding

This weekend I got to meet my Grandpa Herding for the first time too. Grandma has been here helping out Mommy and Daddy for a couple weeks and Grandpa came out to see me and take Grandma back home...though none of them wanted to leave this morning. Grandpa asked Mommy LOTS of times this weekend when we are moving back to South Dakota. The pressure is on for us to move back to the Sioux Falls area now that I am here and both sets of grandparents are back there.

Meeting Cousin Skyler and Uncle Mike

This past weekend I was able to meet my Uncle Mike and Cousin Skyler on the Herding side. I loved sitting in Skyler's lap and Skyler loved feeding me my bottle and helping Mommy give me a bath. He was such a good helper with me...I can't wait to see him again!
Here I am hanging out with Uncle Mike and Skyler.

Grandma and Grandpa Herding sure do have cute grandsons!
