"I said...it's time for my bath, Dad!"

Okay, so this didn't actually come out of his mouth, but I'm guessing that's what he was trying to relay to Paul! Mommy actually had bath duty this night, but we just had to get another naked photo...hopefully he won't be too mad at us when he's a teenager!

Curls

These curls just keep coming. Some people have thought we might have a miniature Uncle Greg on our hands???? Grandma Kelly might have to dig out some photos of Greg and bring them to the lake this weekend so we can compare these adorable curls.

Swim, Swim, Jump

I am really enjoying my swimming lessons, but I LOVE jumping in the pool! That is by far the best part of the lesson.
We have to swim after our duckies in the water. I am really good at moving my arms, but I still need practice with kicking my feet.

Farmer Torin

I love these bib overalls on T. Doesn't he look like a little farmer?

Swimming Lessons

We started swimming lessons with Torin yesterday and he loves them. We have them everyday for the next two weeks.

Outside...Water...Independence

Torin could be outside all day long if we let him. He loves the outdoors to the point he will cry when we come inside.
He can stand and walk really well now...room to room, etc...but still chooses to crawl most of the time. He hasn't realized that walking will get him places even faster than crawling will.
Torin loves the water...the pool, sprinklers, hoses, bath time, turning the faucets on our sink on and off, etc. We were on a walk yesterday and he was fussing to get out of the stroller and all he wanted was to stick his hand in the water.
And then of course not go back into the stroller when we finished. "I can push the stroller back myself, Mom. I'm a big boy now." Oh my little independent one...I love you.

Climber

Torin has started climbing on EVERYTHING this past week. He climbs up on his high chair and waits for one of us to push him around the kitchen. Little stinker...

Canistota Parade

We had lots of fun at Sports Days this year in Canistota. Paul had his 10 year class reunion so he was in the actual parade with his classmen from 1999.
Kayla, Torin and Ethan hanging out during the parade. Maybe next year they'll be able to grab candy like the other kids!
Skyler, Zoey and Mesa with handfuls of candy from the parade. YUM!
Noah and Skyler had a great time before and during the parade. They had lots of energy to run off!

South Dakota Trip - July

Here are some highlights of our trip home this past weekend...We were able to get out on the boat on Friday and Pat had a good time getting us girls to fall off the tube. Below are Sarah and Anne riding the tube. Sarah and I riding now.
Marcy and Anne went first.
On Thursday we hung out at Grandpa and Grandma Herding's house and Torin was able to open his birthday present early. He received his very first life jacket and another water toy for the lake. We can't wait to try them out in August!
Great Grandpa Zimmer has been in and out of the hospital with some heart and lung problems. We were able to visit him in the hospital as well. Get well soon, Grandpa, so we can play some cards together!

11 Months Old

At 11 hours old (this picture is more like 3 hours but it is the closest I could find) Mommy and Daddy were in awe of how much they could love their little boy.
At 11 days, we were trying to figure out how to get you to sleep like this at night and not during the day.
At 11 weeks, Mommy and Daddy were in the swing of things and were really getting into a good routine with baby T. You were smiling and so much more alert!
As as of yesterday baby boy, you are 11 months old and I wonder where has my little baby gone? You are so full of life and busy all the time. Mommy and Daddy say all the time we don't know how we could love you more! You have made us a family and we couldn't imagine life without you. We look forward to watching you grow and feel incredibly blessed to be your Mommy and Daddy.

Happy 11 months to our sweet, little boy!
Love, Mommy and Daddy

Landscaping

Our new sod is in and the rock is almost complete as well. Thanks so much to our good friends and neighbors, Sean and Scott, for helping us out. Mites...stay away! We don't want to sod our lawn ever again!
Torin even played outside cheering the guys on...Paul and Scott are in the background laying the sod.
New sod...backyard.
New sod...front yard.

Getting Daddy in Shape

Daddy has been working on getting in shape lately with bike riding and playing basketball so Mommy and I joined him this morning for a bike ride. He's says it's harder to bike with me behind him so I'm giving him a better workout.
I could be a personal trainer...faster Daddy faster!

4th of July

The 4th was wet and rainy here in Colorado, but we still got outside as much as possible throughout the day. We spent the 4th in Niwot with Sean and Tracey, Rusty and Rachel and other friends. Torin loved the lab dogs...Maggie, Delaney and Chloe. He spent most of his time climbing all over them and they were incredibly gentle with him.
Hanging out with Sean and Tracey...he wanted some of Sean's beer!
Rusty got some baby practice in. He and Rachel are having their first baby in October.
Torin stayed up until 10:00 watching the fireworks. He was very tired yesterday since he was up so late!

Dishwasher

Gamma Herding started this newest game when we were home in June...letting T play in the empty dishwasher. So now every time we empty the dishwasher we have to let him play with it. So I left him standing next to the dishwasher and went to get the laundry out. It became quiet...too quiet. I returned to the kitchen and he had climbed onto the door of the dishwasher and was standing up to get the upper rack. Little monkey...Mommy can't turn her back for a second anymore!
