4 month well-check/19 weeks old

These two adorable little ones turned 19 weeks old yesterday. I can't believe this is the last week in the teens.
We had Logan's well-check today and here are his stats:
Height: 25 1/2 inches - 75th percentile
Weight: 16lbs 7oz - 75th percentile
Head Circ: 16 1/2 inches - 50th percentile
We had Ella's well-check today and here are her stats:
Height - 23 inches - 10th percentile
Weight - 12lbs 13.5oz - 45th percentile
Head Circ - 16 inches - 50th percentile
Torin also needed to have his weight checked since the babies did and he weighs 29lbs 6oz, so he's gained a pound and a half in the last month. It must be that South Dakota cooking!

His stats at 4 months for comparison were:
Height - 24 1/2 inches
Weight - 15lbs 11.5oz
Head Circ - 17 inches
So Logan is bigger and Ella is smaller than what Torin was at 4 months.

Exersaucer Play Time

We broke out the exersaucer this week and both Logan and Ella love it. Wait, all three kids are enjoying it again as Torin thinks he needs to play in it as well.
We seem to be in 'copycat' mode the past week or so. If Mommy takes pictures of the babies, Torin has to take pictures of the babies.
"Cheese, Logan and Ella."
She's such a peanut that it doesn't seem possible for her to be playing in the exersaucer yet. She loves it of course since she can look around and see what's going on.

Baptism...9/24/10

While back in South Dakota we had the twins baptized. Fr. Kranz baptized the twins at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Montrose, SD. He also baptized Torin in the same church two years ago.
Our Godparents: Ella's are my brother, Mike, and Paul's sister, Sarah. Logan's are Paul's brothers, Joe and Greg.
Our Grandmothers were both able to attend as well. Great-Grandma Zimmer is standing next to me and Great-Grandma Bartmann is standing next to Paul.
It was a wonderful evening that even included Torin shouting out 'Amen' a few times during the ceremony.

17 Weeks...9/15/10

We have spent the past two weeks in South Dakota with family, so I am behind on posts. Here are the twins before we left. They turned 4 months old on September 19. We have their 4 month well-checks tomorrow so I'll post the stats later.

You Might Be A Redneck If...

...you do dishes in your diaper.
You might be a redneck if...you carry the recycling out to the curb in your diaper.
I'm not really a redneck. Mommy has learned that 'doing dishes' means soaking wet clothes and the floor needing to be mopped up afterward. So to help with the first, we 'do dishes' in our diaper.
I carried the recycling out to the curb from the garage all by myself. Mommy was so proud of me.
Okay, so maybe this is a little bit redneck!

Rolling Over!

Not the best photo, but the only decent one from today that I have. Ella rolled over today for the first time! She went from her tummy to her back. She's been really close for a while but today it seemed so easy to her. Not too bad for 3 1/2 months old! Way to go, Ella!

My Favorite Place

This photo isn't much to look at. Afterall, it is just a wall with doorways. I stand here each night watching, listening, praying, hoping and dreaming about the future. This is my very favorite place.
It is 1:00 in the morning. I've just finished feeding the twins. Most are sleeping. I look to my left and see my big boy asleep in his bed. I think of how great our day was. I hope he starts treating his brother and sister better. I listen as he snores his 2 year old snores. I can't wait to see what new things he learns tomorrow. I can't wait to here what new words and phrases he says.
I look to my right and see my beautiful twins. Ella is sleeping peacefully again and Logan is rustling around as he usually does before going back to sleep. They both put themselves to sleep already just like their big brother. We are lucky to have three kids that go to bed so easily. I can't believe they are three months old already. My babies are growing out of the infant stage and becoming busy little babies that like to play with toys and interact with people now.

I should be back to bed sleeping myself. But here I stand, taking in each and every moment possible with them.
Till tomorrow, my loves. Sleep tight.

Twins - 15 Weeks Old - 9.1.10

Uncle Greg gave us these Minnesota Twins shirts. They are pretty cute.
We are 15 weeks old today. We smile, baby talk, and giggle all the time now.
We are sleeping GREAT in our crib together. We now only get up once a night. We go to bed between 8:30 and 9:00P.M., get up around 2:30A.M., and then are up for the day around 7:00A.M. Mommy and Daddy REALLY hope this continues.
Logan is still quite a bit bigger than Ella. But he can't wait to be her protector one day.
They still look completely different. They still act completely different.
They still COMPLETE our family.
How can you not love these innocent faces?
