37 weeks

I had another doctor's appointment yesterday and they want me to have an ultrasound done next Tuesday to see how big he is getting. Everything is still looking good...his heart rate is in the 150s and he has 'dropped' into position (head is down) for delivery. The doctor said I am good to go into labor at any time. My last day of teaching is this Friday and I am ready for that to be over with. We will see what the ultrasound shows next week and I'll know more then. It is getting close!!!! We are both so excited to meet him...so is Cooper...we think :)

36 weeks...let the countdown begin!

Paul caught me putting Horton on the baby's shelf.

This is bravery... a 36 week belly picture. I had a doctor's appointment yesterday and everything looks great. The doctor is guessing the baby is between 5 1/2 and 6 pounds now, so at this point he is guessing if I go to 40 weeks that I'm looking at an 8 pound little boy. Of course a lot can change over the next couple of weeks as well, but at least it isn't a 10 pounder!

Nursery Nears Completion!

After what seemed like forever, we finally have the nursery almost complete! I just have to spray over all the paintings with a sealer to make sure the paint won't wash off. The blanket on the chair was my baby blanket that mom gave me when Carrie and I were home last week. It actually matches pretty well! Hopefully the little guy likes Dr. Seuss when he is 18, because we are NEVER repainting this room after all the time we put in!

Home to South Dakota

Paul and I were able to make our last trip home this past weekend before the baby arrives. We spent the 4th on the farm with the Bartmann clan and we had a blast. It was so relaxing being able to hang out with everyone. I wish I had pictures to post, but unfortunately we forgot our camera and flip video. I believe Kelly took some good pictures, so if I receive some via email from her I will post them on the blog later this week.

Thanks Pat and Kelly for the awesome weekend!

(thanks for the pictures mom!)

Food poisoning

Last Sunday we went out to dinner with our good friends and unfortunately I ate something that wasn't good. I ended up in the hospital Monday morning receiving IV fluids and meds to stop the vomiting and contractions. I had a doctor's appointment then on Tuesday and everything was better and baby was healthy thank goodness. That luckily has been the only negative experience thus far with the pregnancy and I'm hopeful for these last six weeks to be uneventful and to flow smoothly.
