Pumpkin Painting and Leaf Raking 10.3.12

Preschool Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch 10.2.12

We were all invited to Torin's fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago and it was so much fun!  Ella was so excited to be able to finally go to school like Torin!  She wants to go to preschool already and gets sad when we tell her she has to wait until next August to start.
All three kids were able to pick out a pumpkin to bring home and decorate.
Torin and Ella were able to take a train ride around the farm.  Logan wanted to stay with Mom and Dad.
Ella waved good-bye and wasn't scared at all.  She had big brother Torin to look after her.
And Logan decided to jump...and jump...and jump some more on the bouncy wall.  He was drenched in sweat when he came down!

Torin showing Logan how high he can jump.
 All three musketeers jumping.

The Park 9/30/12

Going to the park is still a favorite outing for the kids. We go to a park in Johnstown or Loveland at least three or four times a week.  I was able to snap some cute shots of the kids after church a few weeks ago at our neighborhood park.

Saturday Morning Swimming Lessons

All three kids are taking swimming lessons this fall on Saturday mornings.  Torin has his lesson first each week, and is doing GREAT this year in his 3-5 year old class.  Paul and I still go in the pool with Ella and Logan for their parent/toddler swim lesson. All three kids love the water and are having so much fun at the lessons each week.  They will end right before Thanksgiving.  Since we are in the water with Ella and Logan, I don't have any photos of them during their lesson.  I might ask a parent to take photos of us in the next couple of weeks.

Overnight Trip in the Mountains 9/20/12

We headed to the mountains for two days the end of September to catch the leaves changing, see the elk in rut and just get away for a couple days.  It was AWESOME!  The kids had a great time staying in a hotel and swimming in the pool.  We hope to have more overnight getaways soon when the basement is finished!

Logan's New Haircut 9/18/12

I took Logan in to get his first 'real' haircut in September.  I had her keep the curls in back but trim the front A LOT and now he can see!  He looks like such a big boy with his new cut...my baby is growing up too fast!

Paul Turns 32! 8/27/12

Daddy turned 32 this year and all he ever asks for on his birthday is an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen.  It is his favorite!  We also went to Mumford and Sons concert and Red Rocks Amphitheater with Sean and Tracey and had a blast.  Hands down it was the best concert we've ever been to.

First Day of 4-Year-Old Preschool

Torin started 4-Year-Old Preschool on Monday, August 27th.  He attends school three mornings a week this year; Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.  We had his 4 year well-check and he weighs 39lbs (65th percentile) and is 39 1/4 inches tall (25th percentile).  He wears 5t clothing and size 11 shoes.  He has grown up so much this summer and has become quite the leader of our three musketeers.

The Farm 8/10/12

All three kids could spend every waking minute at the farm if we let them.  There is always something to ride in, play on, get dirty with, etc.  They already are excited to be back in South Dakota for Christmas.

Brookings Children's Museum 8/9/12

We visited the Brookings Children's Museum with all the Bartmann grandkids on the second half of our vacation to South Dakota.  The kids had a blast and Torin still talks about the T-Rex that roars outside.
