Herding Family

My mom has been here a month now and my dad, brother and nephew have come to take her back to South Dakota. She will be missed! Here are some photos of the Herding clan.

4 weeks...1 month old!

Ella was in to the doctor on Monday for her 4 week check and she weighs 6lbs 15oz. She also was able to get off oxygen and is perfectly healthy! She doesn't need to be seen again until her 2 month well-check.

Logan had his 4 week check on Monday and weighs 7 lbs 13 oz. He also is all done with oxygen and perfectly healthy. He also doesn't have to go back to the doctor until his 2 month well-check.

We were able to have the oxygen company come on Tuesday and pick up all of the oxygen tanks from our house. That was a huge milestone for us. We can finally hold both our babies with no cords attached.

We

We have been married five years today. We have three beautiful children. We are in love. We are blessed. We are a family.

He

He turned 22 months old on Monday. He has had to make some huge adjustments over the past couple of weeks. Overall, he is a GREAT big brother.
He is like every other 22 month old in that he can't always be the GREAT big brother. He has had to learn to not take his anger out on his brother and sister.
He still gets his mom and dad's attention every day. He needs his 'Torin only' time yet.
He is such a big boy now. He is our oldest. He is loved more than he'll ever dream possible.

He

He is three weeks old now. He weighs 7lbs 4oz. He was able to come off oxygen yesterday.
He was named after his Great-Grandpa Zimmer. He is the easiest baby I've ever taken care of. He is laid-back and calm just like his great-grandpa was.
He is the baby of the family. He is perfect in every way. He is loved more than he'll ever know.

She

She is three weeks old now. She weighs 6lbs 8oz. She is on the lowest amount of oxygen now and hopefully will come off on Monday.
She is gorgeous. She is all girl. She is the princess.
She is named after her Great-Grandma Knox. It was the perfect choice as she has many of her great-grandma's personality traits. She is a very active and alert baby girl that has almost rolled over already multiple times.
She is a miracle. She is a fighter. She is loved more than she'll ever imagine.

My Three Loves...

I still can't believe I'm the mother of three. I am so incredibly blessed.

Making Brownies

Grandma Herding and I made brownies today. They are delicious. Wouldn't you like one? (We didn't lick the bowl until the brownies went in the oven:))

Water Park Video

Here is the video from the water park last week. We are excited to go back there this summer since Torin loved it so much.

posting order

You'll have to go through and check out posts for June as I sent some to the draft box until I could get the videos uploaded. Check out the Memorial Day video...it is pretty funny.

First Real Baths

Now that Ella and Logan have lost their umbilical cords (and Logan's circ. is healed), we can give real baths. They both really enjoyed them this morning. Neither one cried at all. I wonder if they will be just like Torin and love the water as much as he does.

Being a Dad of Three Is...

I'd fill in the blank but I'll leave that up to Paul! :) We are up every two hours at night yet to feed since they are still on a feeding schedule. We are tired to say the least but enjoying every minute of it.

Tuesday's dr. appt

We had the twins in to the doctor on Tuesday to see how things were going being at home for 2 days. They both gained 6 oz in the first two days they were home. We have another doctor's appt. on Wednesday to check weights again and also see if they can be taken off the oxygen.

Ella - 13 days old - 5 lbs 9 oz (5 lbs 4 oz at birth) 3rd percentile
- 18 3/4 inches - 10th percentile
- 10th percentile for head circumference

Logan - 13 days old - 6 lbs 6 oz (5lbs 12 oz at birth) 10th percentile
- 18 1/4 inches - 3rd percentile
- 50th percentile for head circumference

I was so surprised they were even on the charts at this point being born so early. We are excited to see what Wednesday brings and if they can come off the oxygen. That will make our lives SO much easier!

Memorial Day

Memorial Day was amazing this year as our entire family was home for the first time. We spent the day outside with family and friends. Grandpa and Grandma Bartmann had to head home in the afternoon and then the Weilands brought dinner over for us. Torin was able to play with his very best friend, Ava.

The morning was spent washing cars with Daddy. In Torin's case, he spent the morning hosing down the grandparents. Check out the video...too cute.

Torin and Papa Bartmann

Papa read books and put Torin to bed the other night. Torin LOVES his Papa. He walked around the house and outside calling Papa's name constantly.

Sharing

We have so many children now the grandparents don't even have to share! There wasn't a single fight or anything over a baby or toddler the entire weekend. I think we officially have enough kids! These grandparents are great helpers...we'd loan them out to you, but we still need them!

Home

The twins came home Sunday evening, May 30th, at 6:00 P.M. We have their first doctor's appt. this afternoon to see how much they've grown in the two days they've been home.
