Five Years Ago Today...

I met someone who would forever change my life.

Five years ago today, I met someone who would become my best friend.

Five years ago today, I met someone who would promise to always be honest and open with me even if I wouldn't like the answer.

Five years ago today, I met a man who would drive through a blizzard to be by my side for my grandfather's funeral.

Five years ago today, I met a man I would fall in love with.

Five years ago today, I met a man I would trust enough to move away from all my family and friends for fear I would lose the best thing that had ever happened to me.

Five years ago today, I met a man who would put a ring in my cheesecake, get down on one knee and promise to love me unconditionally for the rest of my life.

Five years ago today, I met a man who would embrace my independence, challenge my thinking, calm my fears, and believe in my dreams.

Five years ago today, I met the man I would marry.

Five years ago today, I met the man who would stand by my side through every obstacle that would stand in our way.

Five years ago today, I met the man who would hold my hand as the doctor explained why I was having trouble getting pregnant and all the steps it would take to have a baby.

Five years ago today, I met the man whose shoulder I would cry on when life wouldn't go according to plan.

Five years ago today, I met the man I would pray with before I would fall asleep at night.

Five years ago today, I met the man I would tell would be the father of my baby.

Five years ago today, I met the man who would say nothing when my crazy pregnant lady moments would show up and tell me I was beautiful in everything I would wear.

Five years ago today, I met the man who would become the father of my son.

Five years ago today, I met the man who would tell me almost every day what a good mom I am and how beautiful his baby boy is.

Five years ago today without me knowing it, my life became complete.

To the best husband and father a girl could ask for...I love you! CB

Grandma's good shots

Grandma Bartmann was able to get some great shots this weekend with her new camera. Thanks for sharing these Grandma!

11 weeks

I have been a stinker this weekend...every time Grandma gets the camera out I stop smiling and talking. I love to look at the cameras but I won't smile and talk when they are in front of me.

Tired from playing

I was playing so hard with Ethan that I fell asleep right on my side on the floor. It is hard work being such a big boy now!

Me and Cousin Ethan

Ethan and I were playing on the floor together today after church. He is almost exactly three months older than me so he can roll around and grab toys already. I'm not quite big enough for that yet, but I am working really hard at holding my head up on my own. It won't be long before the two of us are making our Mom's chase us around everywhere!

Fall Leaves

Mom and Grandma had me out in the front yard today laying in the leaves for a photo op. Grandma got much better pictures than Mom did, so she'll have to send Mom some of hers. I loved the leaves though! I liked the crunching sound they made, so I kicked around in them for a while since it was so nice outside here this weekend.

New outfits!

Grandma Bartmann came out with more presents from family in South Dakota this week. Thanks Aunt Colleen for the new clothes! I'm blowing you kisses in this picture or making a fish face...you pick!

2 Month Doctor's Appointment

We had Torin's 2 month check-up today (although he is 10 1/2 weeks) and he is doing great! Here are the stats:

Height - 23 inches - 45th percentile
Weight - 13lbs. 5 oz. - 75th percentile
Head Circumference - 16 1/2 inches - 75th percentile

So from his 2 week well check, he has moved from 50th percentile in height to 45th percentile and in weight from 10th percentile to 75th percentile. The doctor says he is getting some good nutrition! After a very long conversation with the doctor we did end up giving T his shots as well so he is quite sore this evening poor baby :( His next appointment will be his 4 month well check as long as he stays healthy! Paul and I are so blessed and thank God every day for our healthy, happy baby boy.

Happy Birthday, Cooper!

We can't forget about our first 'baby' on his birthday! Cooper is four years old today and adjusting quite well to Torin being in our house. He definitely gets less attention, but loves to lay by his little brother and protect him all the time. What he isn't so good with are Torin's toys. He hasn't figured out the difference between his toys and Torin's toys. I think we will be working on that one for quite a while...and washing A LOT of toys! Happy Birthday, Coop! We love you!

Silly Mommy

I finally got T on camera smiling and laughing. Here he is with a cheesy grin and the second photo is when he is turning his head and laughing at me. Priceless!

Me and Little Buddha

We were at Sean and Tracey's last night and Sean and Paul thought it would be fun to get a photo with Sean's Buddha figurine and Torin together commenting that their tummy's were similar.

My Tongue

I stick my tongue out all the time now...it gets in the way when I am talking to Mom and Dad though.

Halloween Preview

Aunt Sarah also sent us some fun Halloween gear. He wasn't very happy during these photos so we took them really fast. The shirt says "I love my mummy." Too cute!

9 weeks

I can't believe Torin is 9 1/2 weeks old already! Time is flying by and each day it seems he is doing something new now. He is interacting so much more with Paul and I now and is putting himself on a great feeding and sleeping schedule. He goes down between 8 and 9 P.M. and gets up to eat between 1 and 1:30 A.M. and 5 and 5:30 A.M. I really only get up once a night now since I have to work at 7, I'm up at 5:30 anyway.

More presents...

Uncle Jay, Auntie Sarah, and Kayla sent me this cool puppy hat with matching slippers. The slippers are a little big yet but the hat definitely fits now! Mommy still has to get photos of the other gifts they sent...thanks so much for the presents!

Smiling at Daddy

Daddy makes me laugh and smile all the time now. He is such a goofy guy!

Bubbles...

Daddy caught me blowing bubbles in my sleep again. I do it all the time now Mom tells me. I've also found that I can suck my fingers now too. Mom is guessing I won't use my pacifier for much longer since I love my hand and fingers so much.

Tired Boy and Story Time

T wanted to show everybody how much he likes his tongue and how cute his smile is, so here ya go!

This is our bedtime routine. Rubbing eyes, yawns, and smiles!

Homebrew update

With all the baby stuff going on, I have neglected to update people on my home brewing endeavors! This is Sean and me working on our 4th batch. This one is a milk stout, and judging from the taste I had at bottling, this one has some potential! This video is a couple weeks ago. We have since bottled, and are currently waiting for the bottles to carbonate (2-3 weeks) before we can enjoy the beer!
By the way Joe, Jason, Greg, and Dad- the IPA I brought home last time is now ready to drink. Don't forget I left a few bottles in Greg's old room!

Not all Fun and Games

T and I just wanted to remind the grandmas and grandpas that this parenting thing isn't all fun and games. It seems that there is also some work involved!! (with torin, it seems this "work" comes around about every 2-3 hours)

My favorite place to nap

My swing is by far my favorite place to take naps.

So Tired

I rub my eyes now right before I fall asleep. It gives Dad and Mom the heads up I need a nap...as if they already didn't know!

8 weeks

Here I am hanging out during tummy time. I really love tummy time but Mom caught me at the end of it right before I fall asleep.
I'm watching my brother Cooper here playing with his toys. What a silly dog!

I've moved to Stage 2 in my tub. It has three stages and I've outgrown the first one. I love the second one because I can splash and kick my feet and get Mommy and Daddy wet!
Yep...8 weeks old and still growing! I'm still up at least two times a night but I'm still so hungry. Mom started back to work on Friday and Dad and I hung out all morning. I like hanging out with Dad in the mornings and Mom in the afternoons. They spoil me rotten.
