November 2012

November flew by for us this year.  My friend, Maria, and her stepson, Brendan, visited for a couple of weeks (a vacation that turned into a hospital and recovery stay), so we were able to show them the Denver Zoo, Rocky Mountain National Park, Estes Park and other fun Colorado tourist places.

Ella was able to help mix the paint for our basement at Johnstown Ace Hardware.  They let the kids put on aprons and go through all the steps to get the paint just the right color.  She loved it and we love our small town businesses!

We also hosted Thanksgiving again this year as it has become a tradition for us.  The Weiland and Kinner (minus Scott due to work) families were able to join us for a wonderful turkey day.

October 2012

October was spent...

dressing up as our favorite characters,

 finishing our basement,

 completing swimming lessons,

 combing hair,

 baking cakes,

 shoveling sand,

 climbing at the park,

 playing with friends,

 building rock piles,

going trick-or-treating,

pushing our cousins (the good kind of pushing :))

 watching others grow,

 saving the world,

attending 'dance parties' (since Cinderella goes to a dance party and not a ball!),

and eating lots and lots of candy!

Behind...Months and Months Behind

Yes, I am behind on blogging again.  What can I say?  I'm busy.  I'm coming back to the blog, but have been thinking of a way to make it fresh and new again.  I will compile an October, a November and a December post to conclude 2012, but will start something new (hopefully) for the month of January and 2013.  Stay tuned blog readers...if you're still reading!

Pumpkin Painting and Leaf Raking 10.3.12

Preschool Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch 10.2.12

We were all invited to Torin's fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch a couple weeks ago and it was so much fun!  Ella was so excited to be able to finally go to school like Torin!  She wants to go to preschool already and gets sad when we tell her she has to wait until next August to start.
All three kids were able to pick out a pumpkin to bring home and decorate.
Torin and Ella were able to take a train ride around the farm.  Logan wanted to stay with Mom and Dad.
Ella waved good-bye and wasn't scared at all.  She had big brother Torin to look after her.
And Logan decided to jump...and jump...and jump some more on the bouncy wall.  He was drenched in sweat when he came down!

Torin showing Logan how high he can jump.
 All three musketeers jumping.

The Park 9/30/12

Going to the park is still a favorite outing for the kids. We go to a park in Johnstown or Loveland at least three or four times a week.  I was able to snap some cute shots of the kids after church a few weeks ago at our neighborhood park.

Saturday Morning Swimming Lessons

All three kids are taking swimming lessons this fall on Saturday mornings.  Torin has his lesson first each week, and is doing GREAT this year in his 3-5 year old class.  Paul and I still go in the pool with Ella and Logan for their parent/toddler swim lesson. All three kids love the water and are having so much fun at the lessons each week.  They will end right before Thanksgiving.  Since we are in the water with Ella and Logan, I don't have any photos of them during their lesson.  I might ask a parent to take photos of us in the next couple of weeks.
