Three Weeks Old Today

Well I've made it to three weeks today and I must say all this growing really wears a guy out. I've been so good these past couple of nights and have moved my long sleeping and eating stretches over the night times. Mommy is only having to get up twice now to feed me...usually between 12 and 1 and then between 5 and 6. She says she can really handle this schedule if I keep it up.
I go back and forth with Paul on whether his eyes will stay blue or go brown. They are such a dark blue right now that some days they look brown to me. Time will tell I guess, but we think he is just adorable!

Happy Birthday Daddy

Today is my Daddy's 28th birthday. Mommy and I got him an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen and the new Tiger Woods golf game for the WII. I stayed up with Daddy last night playing it for a while. Okay I slept in my swing while Daddy played the game...but it was bonding time!

We are grilling out tonight for Dad's birthday. Sean and Tracey are coming over to celebrate and eat cake with us.

My favorite place to sleep is on Dad's chest. This is my spot at about 10:00 at night. I've inherited Dad's sleeping habits and like to be up late at night.

Grandma Herding

Grandma Herding has been here the past ten days helping out Mommy and Daddy. Grandpa Herding, Uncle Mike, and cousin Skyler come into town tomorrow and will be staying through Labor Day. Mommy has really appreciated Grandma's help...especially at 4 A.M.!!!!!

Weight Gain!

We had our second appointment today and Torin gained 6 ounces in four days! He is now back to his birth weight of 7lbs. 7 oz. Most babies should be there by day 14 and he is 18 days old today, so we are sticking with this feeding plan until next week when he should be caught up. We will check his weight again in 10 days (next Thursday), and he should be right on track then. We are so excited that he is growing appropriately now!

Two Weeks Old!

Torin is two weeks old today! He had his two week checkup today and is overall very healthy except for his weight. He still only weighs 7lbs. 1oz, so the doctor has put him on an eating schedule this next week to see if he can get back to atleast his birth weight of 7lbs. 7 oz. in the next week. We are meeting with a lactation consultant/nutritionist on Monday and we will see how much he has gained over the weekend on this new schedule. If he has gained then we don't need to see the doctor until his two month checkup...if he still hasn't gained we will be back to the doctor at the end of next week. So his two week measurements show he is 20 1/4 inches in length, which is the 50th percentile on the growth chart, his head measures 14 1/4 inches, also 50th percentile, and his weight 7lbs. 1 oz. is in the 10th percentile. The doctor isn't super concerned at this point since he is such a content baby, but definitely wants his weight up in the next week. So we are praying that this new schedule will work and our little man can gain some ounces (even a pound!).

The Boys

Mom caught all the boys taking a nap a few days ago. It is just so hard to stay awake with a newborn in the house!

Computer Virus

Paul's laptop computer suffered a virus this past week and it had all of our pictures and videos on it. We've recovered the pictures on cd's but the computer is in the shop being fixed. More photos will come soon we promise!

One Week Old!

I can't believe my baby is one week old already. Time is really flying by and we are enjoying every minute with Torin. He has been such a good baby thus far...we hope it continues!

1st Bath

I experienced my first bath a couple days ago. I can't be in the water yet until my umbilical cord falls off, so it was a sponge bath. I liked the water but got cold really fast which made me unhappy. Mommy thinks I'm really cute in my lion towel.

Visitors from Las Vegas

Mommy and Daddy's friends from Las Vegas came by to see me today. Thanks so much Bobby and Lindsay for taking time out of your vacation to visit me and for the wonderful presents. Have a safe trip home! Love, T

Happy Birthday Uncle Mike!

Mommy has told me how silly you are...I hope Grandma made you a good cake! I can't wait to meet you in just a couple weeks!

Torin was happy to receive this great cookie bouquet from his favorite girl cousins! Lucky for Carrie and me, he was willing to share. It's delicious! Thank you Kayla, Hope, Mesa, and Zoey! (thanks to your moms and dads too!)
Unfortunately this cookie paci wasn't too effective in cheering him up, but it cheered me up at 3 this am when Torin was cranky!

Here's just a little shot of 2 sleepy boys last night. Cooper has been pretty good with T so far. He doesn't bother him too much, but does want to get a little smell of him now and then.
